by Kevin Knight Visit Date:August 16, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We felt that bungalows were a bit overpriced, but were clean and ok to spend a couple days in. The hotel grounds are well-maintained, staff is friendly and the restaurant is the best on the beach. Bed was really hard, even by Thai standards, and due to the paper thin walls we could hear late night music sounds and people coming back from partying in the morning. The beach itself was a huge disappointment. We were hoping for a tranquille off-the-beaten pass piece of paradise, but instead found ourselves on a super-busy , realatively small beach, where you constantly have to be on a look-out for long-tail boats, jet-skiis, catamarans and all sorts of other boats zipping by all day long. Not good for relaxation!" |
by Jess Visit Date:July 29, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Stayed in a little hut, the price was low but also the standard...if I compare to other places I stayed for less money this was really not worth the money. It came in a lot of water when it rained. We had a lot of cockroachs inside. The hut was close to the road and it was a lot of noice during the night. The shower curtain was moldy but the toilet was quite big. The fan did not cool off the room and the mosquito net had a lot of holes in it.The location was good, close to the beach and to restaurants, bars and other stuff in the little village. The food in the restaurant was very expensive compared to other places in the village. The staff was friendly and it was a nice place outside every hut/bungalow where you could sit and just relax, that was nice but I will not stay here again." |

by Monica jonsson Visit Date:April 20, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We had such a good time at Baan puri Village. We had the best bungalow, ocean hut, very nice big with a large terrace with a huge hammock and right on the nice beach. The beach is just wonderful and there were very good and nice restaurants on the beach. We will defently choose Baan Puri village again if we visit ko Pangan." |

by Mr Samuel McCartney Visit Date:March 5, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the Ocean Hut. The beach bar restaurant was wonderful and does especially good seafood (try the bbq seafood basket for 2)! Would benefit from a larger swimming pool and some allocated sun-beds but otherwise very nice. Staff were very helpful and even brought us a fruit basket and presents every day, very thoughtful." |
February 9, 2010 by Cernohorska Kamila Visit Date:January 31, 2010 Room: Service: Location: "The hotel is situated in a very isolated part of the island. There are no proper roads so it make it pain the ass to get there. Even cabs don´t want to take you there. The hotel itself is OK, nothing special. The staff charged us twice as much for a train ticket to Bangkok - they are quite money focused" |
by Christine O`Kelly Visit Date:January 22, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Great place right on the beach, staff were very friendly! Very affordable and very comfortable. The beds were quite hard but everything else made up for it!" |
by Jamie Davis Visit Date:August 10, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Very nice hotel, friendly staff, people here were mainly couples and families so may not be good for anyone looking for a party scene. Restaurant is amazing!" |
by Brittany Calder Visit Date:August 8, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Hotel is very nice (esp for the price) with private bungalows and a nice beach right outside. However, if you re coming for the Full Moon Party be aware that it takes an hour to get down to that beach and will cost you 200-300 baht per person. Same goes for getting to the pier. If you re looking for a quiet, relaxing spot this is great, but transportation costs a lot." |
Excellent: efficient and reliable. Will use again, June 2, 2009 by John Rich Visit Date:May 30, 2009 "Great location. Fantastic staff and a great place to stay with kids. Some of the huts are getting a bit worn out and could do with an upgrade-the air con is a bit hit and miss and could do with a fan as alternative. However, I think the management are aware of this as they were starting to renovate some huts as we left. Nevertheless, a great place to stay on a stunning beach." |

The bungalowes are good and comfortable and the logation is perfect. But the most important factor that really made our journey so great was the athmosphere in Baan Panburi. All the employees really worked their best to make us feel welcome and relaxed. I can honestly suggest this place for anyone who want to spend time just relaxing without any stress or haste." |
No problems, good service thanks, March 25, 2009 by Leigh Visit Date:March 14, 2009 "Lovely hotel, friendly staff members. Awesome location, and great food!!\r\nStayed in oceanhut, which was basic but suited us well and right on the beach, Bathroom in desperate need of update tho. Even tho various transportation methods we found it expensive getting around to explore the rest of the island! Would recommend" |
February 25, 2009 by Jason Clark Visit Date:February 22, 2009 "I had the pleasure of staying here from February 15, 2008 through February 22, 2008.First of all, the beach is wonderful. If you are looking for a laid back place, with the right touch of restaurants, bars and nightlife, then you ve found your place. The hotel itself is certainly adequate - you need to keep in mind what you are paying for here. You are not paying for a 5 star resort, but if you have the right mind-set, you will be more then satisfied. The restaurant is fantastic, and the rooms are adequate. My only complaint would be the bed - it is way too hard for my liking. I d recommend bringing a foam pad if you are like me. The Garden Huts are much cheaper, and other then the lack of airconditioning - which I didn t need anyway, there is no appreciable difference, so save yourself the money.ALl in all a fantastic trip, and highly recommended." |
excellent, February 25, 2009 by Heather Roberts Visit Date:February 18, 2009 "I would not recommend this resort othe r than it was a great location. We booked a beach hut but were put into a garden hut backingon to the main road into the village. It was extremely noisy with cars and bikes. There were birds in cages outside the room which screeched and twittered all the time and dogs howelled all night. The huts were extremelly basic the aircon didn t work and the bed was like concrete. needless to say we checked out the next morning." |
